An important MESSAGE REGARDING covid-19
We're no strangers to public health and protecting the community from the spread of infectious disease. However, the COVID-19 pandemic is unprecedented and requires drastic measures from all of us in order to contain the virus.
The nation's response to this pandemic is evolving rapidly. We will continue to monitor the state and federal mandates as well as recommendations from the Center for Disease Control (CDC) to ensure we're doing our part to stop new infections.
How we're helping to control the spread of COVID-19 in San Antonio
The Mujeres Unidas office will remain closed until further notice. If you need to contact us during this time, please email Mary Helen Gloria at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We will not be participating in any community or social events until it is deemed safe to do so.
We are temporarily postponing the planning and promotion of our annual Baile de VIDA. Although the event wasn't scheduled until the summer, we want to make sure the threat of new infection is completely gone before celebrating. We will keep our supporters updated should anything change further.
Please remember that the nation's biggest responsibility during this crisis is keeping at-risk populations safe from COVID-19. Individuals with compromised immune systems, such as those living with HIV, are particularly susceptible to fatality from COVID-19 and should be protected through our vigilant practice of social distancing and routine hand washing of at least 20 seconds with soap and water.
